Join Julia Berkeley and Matthew Hufschmidt for a blissful evening of Kirtan.
Through sacred sound and healing mantras we come together to transmute energy, activate love and awaken the peace and joy that dwells within.
Discover how this call and response chanting practice quickly opens the heart, clears stress and moves you out of your mind towards an experience of inner silence, boundless love, and intimate union with the Divine.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it forever come and enjoy the regenerative power of this practice. As Krishna Das says “The ability to sing beautifully is enjoyable, but not necessary. What matters is singing from the heart.”
Matthew Hufschmidt is a multi-instrumentalist musician who has had the honor of playing and creating music with numerous artists and groups of various styles. When he was introduced to Kirtan through Saul David Raye the language and rhythmic patterns rekindled an inner knowing that transformed his art from performance into devotional practice. As a drummer, percussionist and singer Matthew has accompanied many in the community at Kirtans, yoga classes, retreats and festivals.
